Are Tolo Toys Phthalate free?
Phthalates or ‘plasticizers’ are a group of chemicals used to make plastics like PVC (polyvinyl chloride) more flexible or resilient. Tolo Toys are predominantly made from ABS plastic which is phthalate free and where PVC is present, you can rest assured that it is phthalate free PVC.
Do Tolo Toys contain BPA?
Bisphenol A is a chemical used in the production of polycarbonate plastics which are commonly used to make feeding bottles. No credible scientific evidence, however, has yet been found as to whether BPA is damaging to humans. Tolo Toys are tested and conform to the rigorous European EN71 and American CPSIA standards and are made of ABS plastic where BPA is not found.

How should Tolo Toys be cleaned?
Tolo plastic Bath Toys have been specifically designed to be used in water so therefore can be submerged in water for cleaning. All other Tolo plastic products should be surface cleaned only as some may not be water tight. Please do not subject your Tolo Toys to heat sterilisation or boiling water and avoid putting them in the microwave. If you do wish to sterilize your Tolo Toy, please use a cold water sterilisation method on the surface of the product.
